All data is stored on MongoDB Atlas servers located in the European Union (EU-West region). Profile photos are stored on Cloudinary (EU processing). We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Cloudinary (image storage), Anthropic (AI content moderation — anonymized text only, no personal data). We never sell your data to third parties.
Your approximate location is requested only when actively using the app to find nearby meetups. We do not track your location in the background. Location data is not stored permanently — only the city name of meetups you create or attend is retained.
We use minimal local storage for: session authentication token (30-day expiry), app preferences (TOS acceptance, install status). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact hello@letsmeet-here.app or use the "Delete Account" option in your profile settings.
Active accounts: data retained while account exists. Deleted accounts: all personal data removed within 30 days. Anonymized meetup statistics may be retained for service improvement. Payment records: retained as required by French tax law (10 years).
We implement industry-standard security measures including: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication (magic link, JWT tokens), rate limiting, content moderation, admin access controls.
LetsMeet-Here is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version.
